Recovery Residence Manager

First Step House is hiring a Recovery Residence Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah!!

At First Step House, "We help people build lives of meaning, purpose, and recovery," and we are dedicated to this mission.

The Recovery Residence Manager is responsible for managing the recovery residence units. Specific areas of responsibility include tenant admissions and evictions, rent collection, and building upkeep and maintenance. The overall goals of this position are to (a) create a safe and clean-living environment that promotes client recovery (b), maximize rental income, and (c) effectively manage properties budgets.

  • Salary is $55,000 - $60,000
  • Day shift hours

Education and Experience:

  • Two years of education and/or experience in substance abuse and mental health is preferred.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Ensure properties are compliant with DHS licensure.
  • Performs tenant admissions and evictions.
  • Ensures complete and accurate tenant files.
  • Property Inspections.
  • Mediation and conflict resolution skills and crisis management skills (MI, de-escalation tactics, etc.).
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Manages facilities budgets within established budget amounts.
  • Develops and implements recovery residence policy and procedure, forms, and workflows in accordance with state laws to ensure quality of rental properties.
  • Manages the waiting list.
  • Addresses tenant concerns.
  • Performs routine unit maintenance and/or coordinates with Maintenance Manager for maintenance concerns
