Residential Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents, particularly those with disabilities and memory care needs. This role requires a blend of leadership, direct support, and advocacy for resident rights while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Duties

  • Manage the overall operations of the residential facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
  • Advocate for resident rights and promote independence among individuals with disabilities.
  • Provide direct support in personal care home settings, assisting residents with daily living activities.
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
  • Supervise staff members, providing training and guidance in best practices for senior care and group home management.
  • Foster a positive community atmosphere through social activities and engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records related to resident care, incidents, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care.

Qualifications

  • Experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in personal care homes and memory care facilities.
  • Strong understanding of medication administration protocols.
  • Background in social work or related fields is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to lift and assist residents as needed while maintaining their dignity and respect.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to improving the lives of residents in a group home setting.
