Summer Teen Program Coordinator

We are looking for a Summer Teen Program Coordinator to lead our Service Opportunities, Adventures, and Recreation (SOAR) Program for teens ages 13-15. This role involves planning, organizing, and implementing a summer full of community service projects, recreational activities, and overnight excursions. You will recruit participants, develop partnerships with local organizations, and create engaging experiences that foster leadership, teamwork, and civic involvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with staff to ensure a safe, structured, and fun environment.
- Create and implement all excursions, activities, and service projects.
- Recruit teen participants through outreach at local schools and community organizations.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations to enhance program activities.
- Track program outcomes and ensure activities align with program goals.
- Manage program budget and ensure spending aligns with financial guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor youth, fostering leadership and teamwork.
- Ensure safety and behavior management, maintaining a positive group dynamic.
What We’re Looking For:
- Highly motivated and responsible with a passion for youth development.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience in experiential education, youth voice, or growth mindset approaches.
- First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Utah Driver’s License with ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
- Ability to attend and supervise multi-day overnight excursions.
- Pass a background check and drug test.
- Higher education in Social Work, Psychology, Recreation, or Education (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish/English (preferred).
Schedule & Pay:
- Flexible preplanning hours starting in March.
- Full-time schedule from late May through August.
