Do you have a passion for working with children? Are you eager to learn and grow in the field of early childhood education? Neighborhood House is looking for compassionate and motivated Early Education Teachers to join our team! No prior experience or certifications are required—just a love for children and a willingness to learn.

At Neighborhood House, we provide high-quality, play-based learning for children ages 15 months to 5 years old in a licensed and NAEYC-accredited environment. We believe in nurturing both our children and our staff, offering career development opportunities, including paid education to earn your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can thrive.
  • Implement Creative Curriculum using play-based learning and interest centers.
  • Actively engage in hands-on activities to promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Extend learning beyond the classroom, including outdoor activities.
  • Assess each child’s progress and tailor activities to meet individual developmental needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to create a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Use positive behavior management techniques consistent with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (No CDA required; experience preferred but not required).
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Utah Driver’s License.
  • Utah Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written; bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
  • A strong passion for working with children and a desire to learn and grow in early childhood education.
