Technology Coordinator

Education/Training

Reports to: Charter School Business Manager
Location: In-Person at Guadalupe School (1385 N 1200 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116)
Status: Full-Time, non-exempt
Pay Range: $25.64 hourly, 30 hours a week + full benefits

Guadalupe School is dedicated to providing Salt Lake’s diverse community of immigrants and refugees with education, community, and resources.

We are seeking a technology coordinator to handle most aspects of our technology needs. We have a third party service for VOIP, remote hosting, network and wireless management, but this position will provide the following:

Onsite Technology Support

  • Maintain technology inventory (under supervision of Technology Supervisor)
  • Tag new equipment and put in inventory system
  • Annual inventory of all technology equipment
  • Remove disposed assets from inventory system
  • Annually, determine equipment that is outdated and needs to be disposed of
  • Generate asset disposal list
  • Conduct surplus giveaways
  • Identify salvage equipment to be disposed of
  • Determine additional equipment needed
  • Technology set up for new employees as needed
  • Follow procurement guidelines in getting competitive bids; utilize state purchasing contracts if possible
  • Make sure tech equipment is tested and ready for student test days
  • Check in/out equipment to staff (yearly and day use)
  • Keep stored equipment organized
  • Coordinate with IT contractor on help desk requests
  • Troubleshoot technology needs when IT contractor is not onsite
  • Be available and onsite for level testing weeks
  • Run A/V for assemblies and other functions
  • Attend to staff IT requests as needed
  • Maintain equipment order and functionality in computer lab weekly, other areas by request
  • Coordinate with program directors on other needs, (i.e. Adult Ed clinics on basic technology skills)
  • Maintain functionality of weather station and displays
  • Help assessment coordinator administer tests as needed
  • Contribute to any grants that fund technology (i.e. needs assessment, tech purchasing budget, etc.)
  • General support/teacher aide as needed

Computer Skills teacher

  • Prepare and conduct lessons during school day computer class instruction.
  • Coordinate with Out of School Time Director on any tech instruction or troubleshooting needs.
  • Teach basic computer skills workshops to staff, Adult Education Students and at family events

 

Family Technology Support 

  • Check in/out equipment to families as needed
  • Help students/families in the effective and proper usage of technology equipment
  • Assist families with connectivity to internet, live classroom and online learning applications (including but not limited to Lexia, Canvas, Moby Max, Google Classroom, Compass, and See Saw)
  • Conduct meetings by Zoom or in person
  • Determine skills needed by families and conduct how-to clinics as needed
  • Willing to attend Parent Involvement Committee meetings as needed to determine family technology needs
