This position offers a set full-time work schedule. Pay range is dependent on experience.


The Donation Associate position is to support the smooth operation of the receiving, procurement, inflow and outflow of ReStore product. As well, the position is customer facing, and representation of the ReStore and HFH brand is a factor in each day’s work. Attitude is Key. This person is relied upon to support an engaging and harmonious work environment. Teamwork is Key. This person must have communication skills that promote productivity in a dynamic, often unpredictable work environment. The job is physically demanding, and a commitment to utilizing best practices and safety measures is essential. In addition, being solution oriented and regular collaboration with teammates to build best practices, set priorities and facilitate productivity are all traits that are important to this role.


This position requires moderate supervision and has no supervisory responsibility.


SPECIFIC DUTIES (90%):

Moving donations in the receiving area, including:

Assisting in truck driver pickups, loading and unloading donated items.

Proper disposal of unwanted or recyclable items.

Maintenance of receiving area, includes straightening, cleaning and organizing workspace on a regular and consistent basis to ensure a safe work environment.

Interacting with donating customers in a friendly, solution oriented way.

Responding to customer service requests for moving items off the floor after purchase.


OTHER DUTIES (10%):

Providing thorough help and service to sales floor customers as needed.

Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to effectively communicate fluently in English.

Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.

Handling cash, basic math, counting skills, calculator use

Must have knowledge of basic computer skills.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED

Will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.

Successful employees will have problem-solving and analytical abilities to utilize time management and space management to juggle an ever changing environment.

Communication skills and interpersonal skills are important for dealing with customers as well as fellow staff members.

A strong willingness to research and learn about donated items.

Knowledge of repair and fixing household items and furniture desirable.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand / walk on concrete surface for long periods.

Ability to work in a warehouse setting subject to heat, cold, and dust

Ability to lift 75 lbs; Carrying 75 lbs; Pushing 75 lbs; Pulling 75 lbs.
