John Weisheit cofounded Living Rivers, based in Moab, Utah, in 2000. In 2002, John became a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance and serves this international organization as the Colorado Riverkeeper. He has been a professional river guide and interpreter of natural and human history since 1980. Since 1990, John has completed about 75 science-based expeditions to assess the long-term impacts of water and energy development on the Colorado River, with a special emphasis on the Colorado Plateau.
