Trauma-Awareness Seminar in Salt Lake City

Thursday, July 31, 2025 (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM) (MDT)

Description

Presented by Trauma-Informed Utah this Trauma Awareness Seminar outlines the path to being more trauma-informed by answering the following questions:

  • What is Trauma?
  • What is the impact of trauma and how do I recognize possible trauma reactions?
  • How can I be more effective in working with people with a trauma history?
  • How can I care for myself as I work with people who have experienced trauma?

Exposure to trauma has a significant and wide-ranging impact on physical, mental, and emotional health. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, personally and professionally, cultivates compassion and curiosity about what may be affecting someone's current behavior. This seminar is designed for all audiences to build a foundational knowledge of trauma and to inform a universal, trauma-informed lens.
