About
Amethyst Center for Healing is a non-profit counseling center in Salt Lake City.
Founded by Martha Burkett Fallis and Jana C. Fulmer, Amethyst provides trauma-informed counseling services, domestic violence evaluations and treatment, and counseling services for adults, children, couples, and families.
Amethyst provides EMDR therapy, individual, group, and family therapy, often at reduced income-based fees. They work closely with many community partners, can provide services in American Sign Language, and are LGBTQ affirming.
Amethyst has a second location affectionately referred to as My Aunties' House, where men who have used violence in their families can live and learn how to be peaceful partners, fathers and community members. Collaboration with courts, community stakeholders and other DV service providers is essential to the work happening at their locations.
Amethyst attempts to remove barriers to high quality counseling services and domestic violence intervention.
