About
Excellence in the Community is a Utah-based nonprofit dedicated to bringing Utah’s finest musicians to diverse communities through free, high-quality live concerts. Our mission is twofold:
1. To provide meaningful, professional performance opportunities for Utah artists, and
2. To ensure that exceptional live music is accessible to everyone—regardless of age, income, or background.
Through free concerts across the state, we enhance quality of life, strengthen community connection, and weave Utah artists’ achievements into the cultural fabric of our communities. Our programming celebrates a wide range of musical styles, including Jazz, Classical, Broadway, Bluegrass, Celtic, Country, and more, showcasing the depth and diversity of Utah’s music scene.
Where We Work
Excellence Concerts proudly collaborates with many of Utah’s most iconic and beloved venues, creating memorable concert experiences for both artists and audiences. Performances are hosted at premier locations such as the Viridian Center in West Jordan, The Grand Theatre in Salt Lake City, the historic Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden, Covey Center for the Arts in Provo, among others.
Equally important to our mission is reaching rural and underserved communities that often have limited access to live music. From major arts centers like the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo to smaller venues throughout rural Utah, we bring professional live performances directly to the communities we serve—ensuring access to the arts across the entire state.
Impact
Since its founding, Excellence in the Community has presented over 1,400 free concerts, supporting Utah musicians while creating shared cultural experiences for families, seniors, students, and audiences of all kinds. Our concerts foster connection, celebrate artistic excellence, and affirm that world-class music belongs to everyone.
