Testifying can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Evan Done, walks participants through how to effectively testify before elected officials. With years of experience advocating and testifying at the local and state level, Evan will guide you through what to expect, how to prepare your message, and how to speak clearly and confidently in public hearings.

About the Speaker:

Evan Done is a person in long-term recovery from both a substance use and co-occurring mood disorder. He currently serves as the Associate Director at the Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA) which he joined as a volunteer in 2015. Evan is on the Board of Directors for the national advocacy organization Faces & Voices of Recovery and he has recently been appointed by Governor Spencer Cox to serve as the representative of a person with lived experience of substance use disorder to serve on Utah's newly formed Behavioral Health Commission. With extensive experience in the non-profit sector and over twenty years of experience in social justice advocacy, he is dedicated to creating a more equitable, just, and sustainable world.
