About the Speakers:

Steve W. Sauer, CPA, has 18+ years of experience working with domestic and international nonprofits. He leads the Colorado/Utah nonprofit attestation and advisory practices, offering services like outsourced CFO, grants management, and internal controls assessments.

A frequent presenter and author for groups like the Colorado Nonprofit Association and COCPA, Steve also contributes to Forvis Mazars’ FORsights and annual nonprofit seminar. He serves on various nonprofit boards and is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a B.S. in business administration, magna cum laude.


Chris Burtschi has a diverse background in both public and private accounting, assisting clients with accounting, audit preparation, policy development, and compliance assessments. He excels at finding comprehensive solutions to complex problems.

A CPA candidate and member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, Chris is also a leader in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. He enjoys volunteering, including offering free pet photoshoots and teaching youth lacrosse. Chris graduated in 2021 from Adams State University with a B.S. in accounting.


Becca Tse has over three years of experience providing accounting services to nonprofit and public sector organizations. She specializes in tax preparation, bookkeeping, consulting, and government/nonprofit auditing, including Single Audits.

A member of the AICPA, Becca is also active in community volunteer events and kids' ministry at her church. She graduated in 2019 from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.S. in accounting.
