The Mission-Driven Flame is a three-part interactive leadership series designed specifically for nonprofit professionals who want to elevate their leadership presence, strengthen team collaboration, and address workplace challenges with purpose and skill.
Inspired by the campfire model — Oxygen, Heat, and Fuel — this series helps participants:
- Ignite their inner drive by understanding their values, motivations, and leadership strengths.
- Sustain a healthy team environment built on communication, trust, and emotional intelligence.
- Fuel productive conversations that promote alignment, innovation, and mission impact.
Each 90‑minute virtual session features expert guest speakers, interactive discussions, and practical tools participants can immediately implement in their organizations.

Your teams are made up of different personalities, communication styles, and generational perspectives. When these differences are understood and leveraged effectively, they become a powerful source of collaboration rather than conflict.
Adam Conley, Founder of Transformative HR Support, will expand on these ideas by exploring how how generational differences intersect with personality and leadership styles, offering practical strategies to build stronger, more connected relationships across teams. Guest speaker Caryn Lee, creator of the Narrative Big Five personality assessment, will introduce participants to the power of personality awareness and how it shapes workplace communication and teamwork.

Conflict is inevitable in every organization, especially in passionate, purpose-driven environments like nonprofits. But when handled well, difficult conversations can strengthen trust, accountability, and collaboration.
In this interactive training led by, participants will learn how to approach workplace conflict with confidence, clarity, and courage.
Instead of avoiding difficult conversations, leaders will gain tools to transform tension into productive dialogue that moves teams forward.

About the Instructor(s):
Adam Conley, MA, PHR, SHRM-SCP, is the founder of Transformative HR Support and a Human Resources leader with over a decade of experience helping organizations navigate the conversations most people would rather avoid.
Throughout his career, Adam has worked alongside nonprofit leaders, executive teams, and frontline managers to address performance concerns, workplace tension, restructuring challenges, and complex employee relations issues. He understands that in mission-driven organizations, conflict can feel especially personal, and that avoiding it often comes at a high cost to culture, morale, and impact.
With advanced education in leadership and business, and professional certifications in HR, Adam blends strategy with practicality. His approach is direct, engaging, and refreshingly real. DeAnna Busby‑Rast is the Founder and CEO of Authentica Group, an executive coach, trainer, and keynote speaker who helps leaders discover their purpose, clarify their value, and communicate with confidence. With 30 years of experience in financial services across operations, sales, marketing, and corporate communications, she brings a deep understanding of complex business challenges and leadership growth. Through coaching, workshops, and leadership development programs, she guides professionals to align purpose with action and deliver measurable results. Known for her authentic, engaging style, DeAnna speaks at national conferences and facilitates programs on communication, influence, and leadership. She is a certified coach, a mentor, and a passionate advocate for women’s leadership, and she finds joy in family, travel, and time spent near the water.
Caryn Lee is the founder of Narrative, a consulting firm that partners with clients to improve performance through personality insights, coaching, team building, leadership development, and conflict resolution. Narrative publishes the Narrative Big Five Assessment, based on the Five Factor Model of personality. A former Associate Partner at Accenture, Caryn spent 15 years leading large strategy and technology initiatives and later ran operations at a company that focused on the Big Five. She launched Narrative in 2015 and specializes in helping leaders use scientifically grounded assessment data to build stronger teams, improve communication, and drive better business results.
